Nicole Faghin

Nicole Faghin is a Coastal Management Specialist with Washington Sea Grant at the University of Washington. Trained as a land use and environmental planner and lawyer, for the past 30 years she has specialized in waterfront planning issues. Faghin engages in education, outreach and research focused on social, economic and environmental shoreline issues related to coastal adaptation. In the past four years, Faghin has managed a portion of Washington’s Coastal Resilience Project, working with local government entities to enhance their resilience through technical guidance to be used for local planning and project purposes. Nicole holds a Masters in City Planning from MIT and a law degree from Northeastern University.
